About once a week, students individually complete blended online activities using a computer, tablet or phone. Because it’s self-paced, students can do activities in as little as 15 minutes or faculty can extend the lesson for a full class period. At the college level, students do EduGuide on their own time as part of a class participation grade.

The evidence-based activities train students to mentor their peers in the social emotional mindsets, skills and habits that enable people to achieve their goals.

EduGuide saves you time by also supporting ELA standards, accomplishing multiple objectives at once. And staff can even complete parallel professional development activities while students work.

COACH

A faculty member or other mentor occasionally replies to the student’s activities with questions that engage them in additional reflection and writing. Students build stronger bonds with their coaches around the social emotional issues students care about. They grow a sense of belonging as they collaborate with coaches on their personal goals and develop a core purpose for how their learning will help them contribute to their families and communities.

GROW

Students report changes in their attitudes toward work, and listen better to feedback they receive from faculty and staff. They’re more self-motivated, enjoy learning more and are more confident about success in school. In short, they become more self-driven learners. Staff also report that student behavior begins to reflect this. They come to class better prepared, pay attention more, participate more and do more homework.

PERSIST

Students complete up to 20 self-paced activities per year. Each year, new activities build new skills and habits on their foundation for the next level of challenges. EduGuide’s path serves as a consistent bridge of social support as students transition from elementary all the way through college and into careers. Schools, colleges and other groups can even use EduGuide to collaborate as they guide students on each step to success.

For students, growing these strengths over time leads to sustained higher achievement in school as well as in life. Schools and colleges see improvements in peer influences, staff coaching practices, and campus climate and culture.
