In this video, Jason Bentley, dean of retention and student success at Ferris State University (MI), shares how EduGuide can be a cost-effective solution for colleges and universities to help their students overcome challenges and make a successful transition to post-secondary education.
Ferris State University participated in a research study that showed students who used EduGuide showed more than a grade improvement in their first-semester GPA, which Bentley noted can have a tremendous impact on motivating students to persevere in their studies.
Bentley calls EduGuide a “high impact, low university investment solution” to provide support to students. It provides a way to students to help one another, while enabling university staff to identify students who could use help, even if they are reluctant to ask for it.
