You want to take the most challenging classes you can. Colleges view a B or C in an advanced class more favorably than an A in an easy class. Talk to your school counselor to set up a plan that works for you but generally speaking, you want to be taking AP (advanced placement) classes whenever possible. If you're in Michigan, the merit curriculum is the minimum, which includes lots of math and science, and a foreign language. Substitute an AP version of those important core courses (math, science, language arts) whenever possible. Good luck to you!
