how to get a child to pay attention and concentrate

my child does not even look at what I'm trying to teach him.he wouldn't even sit and hear me reading. He just likes' to look at them on his own.

You may want to discuss this with your child's pediatrician, to make 100% sure your son is hearing OK. But it's far more likely that he's going through that stage of wanting to do everything for himself. If he's looking at his books by himself and shows interest in seeing new things and figuring out stuff on his own, that's good. Maybe ask him to "read" to you - tell you the story that's in the book, as a way of engaging him with you more often.
