That is really great that he is doing better. There are a few different paths he can start out on. You need to encourage your son to get his high school diploma or GED. Think long and hard about your son's personality. Look into home-schooling for him. If he is not self-disciplined or needs the interaction between student and teacher to learn, you may want to approach his old high school to see about re-enrolling. Some community colleges have classes designed for students to get their high school diploma. You will need to call and speak with a counselor or advisor. Make sure to help him if he needs the help, but encourage him to do what he can on his own. Everyone takes their own path through life. Not all paths are the same. His is just a meandering one right now, but he will even out with support and encouragement and setting the bar a little higher each time he reaches a goal. I will pray for you and your son. Best of luck - enjoy the ride.
