| There are lots of books about working with publishers, but with today's technology more and more people are self-publishing and there are some books on that now too. It's a good way to start; that's because it can also be a way to get noticed by publishing houses if you're book takes off.
Self-publishing can be as simple as printing it out and handing it to someone. But other ways to do it include:
1. Posting some each week on a blog or other space.
2. Using Amazon to take and fullfill orders for printed copies.
3. Using a self-publishing printer to produce 1,000 copies for maybe $5,000 and then selling them at events or through local stores.
4. Taking orders for an ebook which you can email to people as a Word or PDF document.
Whatever route you go, the big question is about how to build an audience and get your content to them.
