If it was JUST swimming and school work, I'm sure this question would be whole lot easier to answer, but I would be willing to bet it is more like:

How do I balance swimming, school work, friends, sleep, everything my parents ask of me, etc.?

I'm guess that since you mentioned swimming and school work that those are what you consider to be the two most important things to you right now. So, here are some suggestions.

1. Squeeze in homework whenever you can. It isn't the most ideal situation to be working in, but you take what you can get. If you have time in between when school lets out and when practice starts, or on the bus when you are traveling to meets, anywhere time allows get done whatever you can.

2. Get a good night's sleep. I know it is hard to put the books down when you have an assignment due the next day, but when you don't get enough sleep, everything suffers. Lack of sleep can effect your concentration, eating habits, and mood, among other things.

3. Prioritize. Don't spend three hours working on a project that's due next week when you have a test the next day. Do what has to be done first and worry about the rest later.

Also, and most importantly, remember that swimming is just swimming and schoolwork is just schoolwork. The world will not come to an end if you don't do your absolute best every single time. So go easy on yourself. Have fun and good luck.
