You didn't mention what grade you're in but it's never too early to start planning. There is a lot of financial aid available, you just have to apply. The ones I'm thinking of are based on financial need, and it sounds like you'd definitely be eligible. Talk to your school counselor about how to apply for student grants and loans. There's something called College Goal Sunday in February that helps families fill out the online applications that works for various federal grants. The application is called FAFSA (don't ask me what it stands for!), and you fill it out your Senior year. You can do it on your own, too. Don't give up! Going to college will make a $1,000,000 difference in your life-time income over what you'd make with only a high school diploma! Go for it!!

If this is reported by enough users it will be reviewed and addressed.
