With kids and computers, safety is top priority. Discuss these rules and hang this list next to your computer!
- I will not give out personal information like my name, address, phone number, name or location of my school, county, sports team, or other information that might give someone a way to find me.
- I will never agree to meet with anyone that I’ve met on-line without first checking with my parents.
- My parents and I will set up family rules for Internet use. We will decide on appropriate areas that I may visit and how long I can stay online.
- I will tell my parents right away if I come across any information that makes me feel uncomfortable in any way.
- I will never send a person my picture, a picture of my family, or fill out a survey without first getting my parents' permission.
- I will be a good online citizen and not do anything that will hurt other people or is against the law.
- I will never give out logins and passwords to anyone - not even my best friend.
