How to use tech to be more human

Sometimes technology can give us almost superhuman powers, but I’ve often seen a problem arise when we focus too much on the power and not enough on being human.

In our new EduGuide Case Study, I talked to University of Southern Indiana Vice President of Student Affairs Robert Parrent about just that problem. Their new social networking, email and online course system was giving them lots of new connections with parents and students, but messages were being left unreturned. They responded by declaring a 24 hour response policy for all messages. You’ll find more about the results and the four secrets to their success in the Case Study.

Have you ever seen this happen? Please post your story about using technology to build connections in our comments below and help us all become a little more super and a little more human.
