Do you think you could be more specific? I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean by a high school setting...there are so many different high school settings (i.e. classroom setting, special education classroom, lunch room, hallway, etc.). It is very helpful if there is a uniform policy for behavior that all teachers, administrators and support staff adhere to in a school setting , and that students know the behavior code and its expectations.

Understanding student motivation and engagement and how to capitalize on that can also create environments where fewer discipline problems occur.
