Is He Teasing or Bullying?

What is teasing? What is bullying? Sometimes it can be difficult to tell the difference between the two. Take the quiz below to find out how well you can tell teasing from bullying.

1) Eight-year-old Tommy pushes his best friend, Sam, down at recess. Both boys laugh about it, and the teacher is surprised at Tommy’s actions because this has never happened before.

2) Blake’s mom gives him twenty-five dollars for lunch money, but three days later, Blake needs more. The same thing happened the week before. When his mom questions Blake, he finally confesses that one of the “popular” boys is forcing Blake to give up his lunch money every day “or else.”

3) David loves to talk online. He used to talk to his friend Mark all the time, but now every time he tries to talk to Mark, he doesn’t get a response. David knows that Mark is online because he can see that Mark is talking to several other boys.

4) Connor and Luke live next door to each other and hang in the same group at school. They usually get along, but once in a while Connor makes fun of Luke. Luke tells another friend in their group that this bothers him, and that friend tells Connor. Connor apologizes to Luke and tells him he was only kidding. Luke hopes it won’t happen again.
