February 2009: Too Cold to Go Outside? Exercise Your Mind!

Does just looking outside through your window make you cold? Is your idea of exercise feeding the kids hot chocolate and curling up under a warm blanket? Then this issue is for you! Here are some great ideas on how to keep you and your kids occupied on those bitter-cold February days.

Birth to Preschool:
It is a proven fact that movement builds your brain. Here are some fun games for your little ones. They’ll be learning and exercising at the same time! And all from the warmth of your own home!

Elementary School: These fun learning games not only teach your children, but most can be done from under that cozy blanket. Challenge your children to a game. You can play for those mini-marshmallows that go great in hot cocoa.

Middle School: Here are some activities that allow you and your child to do some of his favorite activities TOGETHER! Watch TV, surf the internet…and learn about history all at the same time!

High School: If you can pry your child away from her chat room long enough to surf the internet, here are over ten amazing sites that help her visit museums from around the world.

College: Is your child wondering exactly what is worth leaving that nice, warm dorm room for this time of year? Here are some suggestions for a healthy social life.
