How many years do i have to take in college to get the skills to work in the crime lab?

I'd love to work in the medical field, but only with the whole, crime scene suspense. Anyone know how many years this takes?

Question applies to ages: 14, 18

For this kind of forensic work, you'd need a full four-year degree. There are definitely degrees aimed right at this. You will need a really strong high-school foundation in science and math, and I would think, chemistry and biology.
