Continue reading, both fiction and non-fiction pieces.

Keep a journal of responses to films, travel experiences and new ideas you've had over the summer. They may provide excellent ideas for future writing assignments.

If you are not familiar with your preferred learning style or multiple intelligence profile, explore that information about yourself, and develop ways to incorporate your findings into your learning in the future. www.learning-styles-online.com

Create or revise your resume for future use.

Begin looking at college application or post HS work applications to become familiar with the type of information you may need to provide in the future. Keep an electronic folder of ways you might respond.

Agree with the previous answer - read a lot!
Also, if you still have your class notes and tests from the school year, take them out and review them. See what you remember. Quiz yourself on areas you've started to forget.
Keep a journal - just write down your ideas and thoughts on things that happen in your life or in the world.
Watch the evening news so that you know what's going on in the world.
The key thing is to keep using your brain, keep challenging yourself to think and express yourself.
Have a great summer!
