avatarAnonymous There are really a whole lot of other factors to take into account before one can decide what to do. For instance, has she lost her first tooth? Does she have a fever? Are all her gums swollen or just a localized area? How often does she brush/floss? Has she ever been to a dentist before? Do you put her to bed with anything to drink other than water? How long has this been an issue?

My guess is that if it's been long enough to cause you concern it probably warrants a trip to the dentist. And if they hurt so much that she won't even eat, take her in as soon as you can.
