How do I get my kids back on a school schedule after summer break ends?

avatarJenny.eduguide I think a good way to do this is by putting them to bed 15 minutes earlier per week, until you reach their school bedtime. At the same time, it is probably a good idea to start waking them up earlier too. It doesn't matter what time you put them to bed if they won't get up on their own in the morning.

However, if you are like me and kept putting this off, you don't have weeks to slowly prepare them. So, good luck to you. Consistency is really the key here, if you are firm in keeping with the bedtime schedule, they'll know you aren't joking and will follow along. It may make for a few fights now, but when school starts it'll make life much easier.
