families and relationships

advice on adjusting to my new family with my boyfriend and his two kids, mine is in foster care temporarily. My role in the situation with the kids and on disciplining

wow that sound's kind a handful at time. With kids of all ages what seems to work the best taking something that the kids likes the best. like for age 2 3 4 5 and maybe a little older. If they don't listen to what u want them to do then try doing this. Example: u ask a 5 yr old please pic up your toys? The child refuses and then later asks mom can i go outside. You can say well I dont think that's a good idea since you didn't do what I asked u before. With kids older like the 18 yr old. I'm not sure if they have a phone, tv, car, or anything. But if they don't listen to what they are being asked to do try taking something that they like the most. if its the car. Take the keys. Hope that helps let me know if i can help more
