Most kids start going out with groups of other kids, and no one is really paired up. That's probably the best way to find out what you like and don't like about the way someone treats the opposite sex, and what kind of person you'd want to spend time with. The right age to start having "real" dates is up to you and your parents but the more responsibly you act in other areas, the more likely your folks are to trust you to be out dating on your own. (I learned that the hard way......)

avatarAnonymous I feel that the best time to start dating is when you get to high school or when you have the maturity to treat the opposite sex in a respectable manner. If you feel like you should be able to date, talk to your parents about the risks you could face in the dating world such as rejection, emotional roller coaster, or sex. If you are mature enough to talk to your parents about this then you are mature enough to date.
