avatarAnonymous books that are based on movies my child has watched worked with her. she knew how they ended and helped me out with what came next in the story. now we read all sorts of books but before we start to read we look at the pictures and try to guess what the story is about then we read it to see if we were right.

avatarAnonymous We gave our two girls a choice when they were little: bedtime at eight or, if they really wanted to, they could stay up till nine reading in bed.

No choice at all, really. The girls went bananas for the later option, and they still love to read in bed.
