Make an appointment and meet with your school counselor. That would be a good start in finding out what you need to take in college to pursue your dream. Do a Google search and look at what various schools offer. Call a local business that specializes in visual communications, and request an "informational interview" so that you can meet with a person in the field and ask questions to find out what is involved.
Good luck in pursuing your career!
