How do I get testing done for spell and writing?

My daughter is in fourth grade and will be ten years of age in December of this year. In an assignment this year, she spelled peach (peash, tomatoes (tmabos, and they remind
(Tey rmnb me). This is a continuing issue. Also, her writing is atrocious and can hardly be read.

If you make a written request to the administrators at your child's school requesting an evaluation for learning disabilities, they are required by law to test your child.

You can also check to see if your insurance covers evaluations for learning disabilities and find a developmental pediatrician to get another opinion along with the school evaluation.
