In general, you can expect an English placement test to cover reading comprehension (you'll read a paragraph or passage and then answer multiple choice questions about what you read), sentence structure and grammar, and sentence and syntax skills.

This EduGuide article: College-Placement-Sample-Tests-1787 includes links to two web sites with sample placement tests.

This site: www.swccd.edu/Pdfs/CTEPSampleFormforStudents.pdf also describes a college-level English placement test and has sample questions for you to try.

Good luck.
