Is physical education really a mandatory course in middle school?

I have been in LINKS and choir for 2 years now, and now since they cancelled LINKS, they placed me in physical education, which I would much rather switch over for a different encore that I would gladly take. I would like it if I could switch to something in more of interest.

avatarAnonymous It would be easier to answer this question if I knew what state you were from. But, speaking as someone from Michigan I'm going to say that no, PE is not mandatory in middle school. However, the only way to find out for sure is to talk to your Counselor or Principal and ask them.
