Can money from a Coverdell IRA be used to pay for a special needs summer camp whose purpose is therapeutic?

I am specifically referring to the Talisman programs in North Carolina, with summer camps for autistic children that teach self-help and socialization skills.

Question applies to ages: 12

I'm not a financial advisor, but my Internet research seems to indicate that a summer camp program would not qualify as an approved use of Coverdell IRA funds. The place would need to be an accredited K-12 school. You might want to ask your financial advisor to be certain.

It is possible that Talisman's semester-long Southeastern Journeys program for students aged 13-17 might qualify. You would need to contact Talisman to see if this program is an accredited school, then check with your financial advisor to be sure that the tuition could be paid for with Coverdell funds.
