Student Loans

I was wondering if you need to have a bank to get loans? Will they give you a check or do you need a bank?

To receive a student loan you must be enrolled at a participating college and be enrolled at least 1/2 time. You will then fill out an application at the college for the loan. The funds will be sent directly to the college that you are enrolled in. For additional information please contact the college where you plan to enroll. They will be willing to help you with any questions about their student loan process.

The other answers here are correct-- most loans go directly to the college, so you don't need a bank.

You also want to be careful about how much money you take out in loans for college-- too many loans can leave you a lot to pay back right after college. Once you're on campus, look for jobs on campus-- like being an advisor in a dorm that usually pays for your room and board-- and that could keep your loans down, or eliminate them completely.
