avatarAnonymous Are you going to need graduate school to do what it is you want to do in life? If the answer is "yes," then you should most definitely not drop out. What a waste of time and money dropping out of graduate school is. Just suck it up, stick it out, and find out what it is you need to do to get those better than average grades. Giving up is NOT going to help you get what you want. In fact, it is the only sure fire way I can think of to achieve exactly the opposite.

If I understand your question correctly, your grades are below average and you're wondering if you should keep on and graduate from high school. The answer is always, don't drop out!! There are programs to help kids as they enter (for instance) the local community college, to get them up to speed in the areas they didn't do so well on in high school. You can sign up for a summer-school class in one or two of the subjects you did the worse in, to get better prepared for some sort of after-high school training or education. In this economy, the lack of a high-school diploma virtually guarantees that you'll have a very hard time finding any job at all, let alone one that you could end up supporting yourself.

Aim high!! Don't stop at high school graduation. Kids who only graduate from high school end up making a million dollars less over their lifetime than someone who goes to some sort of college.

President Obama recently said it best: "And to any student, I say this: don’t even think about dropping out of school. Dropping out is quitting on yourself, it’s quitting on your country, and it is not an option – not anymore. "

You might also want to talk to a teacher you admire and trust about your concerns for further support and encouragement. You're not in this alone because there are a lot of people in your community and in your school who want to see you succeed. Let them help.

Good luck!

School is almost most important in my life and i know that i would never EVER drop out knowing all the knowledge you would know if you stay in school. Lets just say you wont know the stuff you missed if you drop out. hopefully that was helpful.
