When children learn how to assert their own needs and opinions without trampling on the rights of other people, when they learn to express their angry feelings without losing control or hurting other people, they have mastered skills that enhance their lives and the life of the community. ~Rose Griep

I've read about different studies over the years that indicate that school uniforms can make a difference in kids' learning experience. They aren't competing and comparing themselves to other kids' clothes and cool styles, and it also helps take away the stigma of not being able to afford a lot of different clothes when all the other kids seem to have them. Clothing becomes just one less distraction that might keep them from focusing on what they're there for - to learn!
