If he's watching movies instead of doing activities that might help him learn, the movie-watching is undoubtedly hurting him. Read with him instead of watching movies; point out letters on the page. Put magnetic alphabet letters on your stove or refrigerator and play, "Let's find the B!" and other letter-identification activities. Experts say that kids your son's age should not be sitting in front of a TV or computer screen any more than 1.5-2 hours a day and for a child with delayed development, it probably should be even less than that. Good luck!
