Exercise is important for all kids, even toddlers. Here are some simple toddler activities to keep your child moving:

Try household objects. Activities for toddlers that use balls, toys, or even a paper napkin help your toddler discover how things move. He'll like dropping things from his high chair (you may have noticed that at dinner) to see how fast they drop and to hear the sounds they make when they fall.

Roll, bounce, wiggle, walk. Play toddler games that get your toddler moving. Give him room to throw a ball or push a cart. All of this is good for the body and busy brain cells that are making connections for toddler learning.

Get outside. Hit the playground; take a walk around the block. Fresh air will do parents and kids a lot of good and help little ones burn off energy. You'll discover that fitness for children also means fitness for mom and dad, too.
