We moved into a fast-growing neighborhood in Macomb, Michigan. It is walking distance to our new elementary school. This school, Beck Centennial, is our main reason for relocating. Everything is state of the art technology! Computers, Cable TV and satellite communications are available in every classroom. The rooms stay in a 25:1 student/teacher ratio.
We considered private school and surprisingly, we were disappointed. It’s extremely pricey, the equipment and technology are out dated and the classroom ratio is 35:1.
As for home schooling, I just don’t have the discipline and cannot provide the social aspect that conventional schools have to offer.
We are happy with the public school system in our area. We pay taxes to support it, so we should take full advantage.
Take pride in whatever you decide and get involved in your child’s learning. It’s the best investment you’ll ever make!
