What You Will Need
- Time for a walk, adventure or other fun family activities
- Blank sheets of paper folded in half and made into a book
- Pencils, crayons, and/or washable markers
Let’s Go!
After going on a vacation or a trip to a store, museum, park, beach, or farm, have your child draw the highlights of the event or outing. Next, encourage your child to write about each picture. Do not be concerned about your child’s spelling or penmanship. There's still plenty of time to worry about that. It will come, but at this stage, you’re helping your child appreciate the power of communicating by writing. Enjoy reading the book with your child.
