How can you show your child you love her? Try these family ideas: 

  1. Listen without interrupting. 
  2. Spend time with your child doing fun family activities. 
  3. Surprise your child with a special gift for no occasion. 
  4. Make up a silly story with your child. 
  5. Go on a weekend camping trip. 
  6. Schedule a “Special Time” for doing family home activities with your child each week. 
  7. Treat your child as a person with feelings and intelligence. 
  8. Teach your child by example. 
  9. Always look for the good in your child. 
  10. Do not base your love for your child on his performance.
