According to the State of Michigan’s guidelines for well-child visits, at a 12-month visit you should expect:

  • an immunization review
  • a parent interview
  • measurements of your child’s height, weight, and head size
  • vision and hearing screenings
  • assessment of development, and if problems are detected, further tests of your child’s emotional, physical, social and learning development
  • dental inspection
  • physical exam, with your child completely undressed.
