EduGuide’s Free Online Forum: Support for Parent Stress and Advice for Teenagers

Parents: Where do you go when you have questions about your kid’s learning disabilities, children and divorce, or digital babysitters? Students: Do you have tips or teenage advice you’d like to offer your peers on dating, dorm food, or how to deal with a problem teacher?

December  5, 2008 – Lansing, MI – EduGuide recently launched two online advice forums: one for parents and one for students. A professionals’ advice forum (for educators, counselors, and college access professionals) is in the planning stages.

These online communities are funded in part by a grant from TG. The forums are part of a larger effort between EduGuide and TG to help families keep their children on track for college and career success.

To date, parents and students have asked – and answered – questions on topics ranging from high school discipline to newborn sleep in the parent forum and from goal setting and success to financial aid for school in the student forum.
